Monkey Puzzle: Geek Notes Review [Kids’ Corner]

By Tamsin Mathias

From the creators of the much-loved book, The Gruffalo, comes another story called Monkey Puzzle.

Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, Monkey Puzzle takes us through a story of a little monkey who can’t find his mum.

The book, written once again in Donaldson’s trademark style of rhyme, begins with a little monkey who has sought the help of a butterfly to help him find his mum.

It’s a sweet tale and one of our favourites here at Geek Notes. It’s beautifully written and illustrated perfectly by Scheffler, in his wonderful style that we’ve come to love through reading Stick Man and The Gruffalo.

So, if you’re looking to add to your Donaldson/Scheffler collection, then Monkey Puzzle is definitely one to collect.
